Cambodia has been an independent country since November 9, 1953, and today has a population of nearly 16,500,000. One and a half million of them live in Phnom Penh.
Founded in 1434, it is today the capital of the country, its economic and political center. Its architecture testifies to its history, between temples in the traditional style, while the administrative buildings bear witness to the colonial period.

Trip to Phnom Penh - What to visit?
The Heritage Tour of Phnom Penh, the circuit to discover all the monuments of the city during your stay.
During a trip to Phnom Penh, we had the chance to meet Géraldine and Jean Pierre, a French couple based in Cambodia for 7 years. They told us about their experience and offered to discover their new tourism project in Phnom Penh. Jean Pierre has fallen in love with Cambodia since his many trips to the country. He has always dreamed of settling there. They both decided to take advantage of the opportunity offered by Phnom Penh to settle there, open a business and start a new life.
They decided to create a concept that could allow people to discover the hidden places of Phnom Penh that are a historical heritage of the city. This allowed them to combine their passion for history with their ambition to develop a new concept in Asia. The Phnom Penh heritage circuit they created was still very little known in the city. According to them, "Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia is experiencing a frenetic development and is transforming, sometimes forgetting that some buildings are precious witnesses of its history".
In an open electric bus or in a tuk-tuk, you will be taken through the city to discover the monuments of the time when Cambodia was placed under French protectorate. Equipped with tablets and headphones, you will have all the necessary explanations. For each of the 22 monuments, a video that you can listen to in 8 different languages, gives information about the place and allows virtual entries to inaccessible places.
They also offer a set of packages. After the 2-hour tour, you can watch the city sunset on the Kanika boat and enjoy a drink. Photos of this visit are available on the website, click on the links below to take a look.
