La Petite Ecole, a bilingual school (French-English) in Thao Dien
Created in 2012 in Singapore, La Petite Ecole moved to Ho Chi Minh City, more precisely to Thao Dien, in the expatriate district of Ho Chi Minh City in September 2017.
"Learning at school means questioning the world" (French Ministry of Education)
La Petite Ecole welcomes children from 12 months old in nursery school, from 3 to 6 years old in kindergarten, and from 6 to 10 years old up to CM2 - Grade 5 (from September 2021). It offers bilingual education. Indeed, 60% of the program is taught in French and 40% in English. Parents have the opportunity to make their children learn Vietnamese too. Despite the fact that the program is mostly taught in French, the school is open to all cultures and nationalities providing support to children who speak little French to help them reach a good linguistic level quickly.
Autonomy, curiosity, and motivation, integrating the use of new technologies, are the skills developed by the bilingual school. It is a school on a human scale where it is good to study: 110 children, nearly 10 French-speaking teachers, 5 English-speaking, 1 Vietnamese teacher, and a few extra hands helping all this group.
