Relocation Vietnam is now expanding its support services to Thailand.

As regional mobility patterns continue to evolve, Thailand is confirming its position as one of Southeast Asia’s most attractive destinations for both international assignees and global travellers. In 2025 alone, the country welcomed more than 32.9 million international visitors and generated €41.3 billion in tourism revenue, highlighting its strong international appeal and long-term attractiveness.

Thailand’s appeal also extends well beyond tourism. In the 2025 Expat Insider survey, the country ranked 4th worldwide among expat destinations. The ranking reflects strong performance in areas that matter directly to internationally mobile talent, including personal finance, housing, and overall quality of life.

From a business perspective, the momentum is equally significant. Thailand’s Board of Investment reported that investment promotion applications in the first half of 2025 rose by 139% year on year to a record THB 1.06 trillion, driven by major commitments in digital infrastructure, electronics, and transport. This confirms Thailand’s growing role as a strategic regional hub for investment, operations, and talent deployment.

The country is also making its ecosystem more accessible for expatriates and employers. By September 2025, Thailand’s Long-Term Resident visa programme had already attracted more than 7,000 applicants. In parallel, the Thailand Investment and Expat Services Center began operating on 17 March 2025 to streamline visa, work permit, and investment-related processes, while the nationwide e-WorkPermit system launched in October 2025 to expand digital access to work permit applications.
